There are two kinds of telemarketers. There are those who blandly make the calls to get the paycheck, and there are those who fight to earn a decent commission on top of that. For those who are unwilling to settle it becomes necessary to bring in something just a little extra to help boost sales, and give an edge over other telemarketers and sales companies.
One great thing to do is to buy a list if numbers online. These call lists, such as lottery leads, are not the printed and useless logs given to you by your employer. These are much more precise, and have been bought directly from marketing data companies with sales in mind. Each one is filtered into genres, tested, and sold to individual sellers, not mass consumers.
For example, if you are looking for sweepstakes leads you can find various websites that are there to help you to find people who have recently enrolled into some kind of contest or sweepstakes. Their information has been sold to you, and if they have already entered a drawing it makes it much more likely you will be able to convince them into a sale.
These leads are preferable to any that you get from an employer, as they are not random. The bulk has been cut away, the fat has been trimmed, and you are left with only the meat. That gives you a much better chance of making a sale, and so making a commission.
Don’t settle for less, just do more to get what you want.
